THE WEALD OF KENT PROTECTION SOCIETY

WEALD OF KENT PROTECTION SOCIETY/GODINTON HOUSE PRESERVATION TRUST

‘GUARDIANS OF THE WEALD' (GOTW) AWARDS

The Scheme:
The Eco-Schools scheme concentrates on the in-school environment. The WKPS/GHPT ‘Guardians of the Weald' therefore promotes and recognises the contribution that the school's activities make to the environment outside the school which benefit the community/Weald. This could range from refuse collections, reclamation projects to the establishment of e.g. butterfly farms or sensory gardens that directly benefit pollinators.

•  Encourage participation by pupils in activities which benefit not just the school but the community in which it stands

•  Foster creative solutions to local environmental needs/opportunities
